HKSTS OUTSTANDING STUDENT PAPER AWARD
HKSTS has sponsored the HKSTS Outstanding Student Paper Award (hereafter, the OSPA) since the OSPA was established in 2003. Postgraduate students who fulfill the requirements are welcome to submit a paper for the OSPA. The applicant must be the first author of the paper (it can be co-authored paper or sole-authored paper). The student needs to seek his/her supervisor's endorsement that the student has made over 50% of contribution in the paper and that he full paper must not have been submitted for publication or published.
The OSPA committee will shortlist no more than three student papers for a special session of the 28th HKSTS International Conference. A prize presentation will be held at the Conference. HKSTS reserves the right not to grant the OSPA should members of the OSPA committee consider the quality of submissions or the performance of the candidates at the session to be unsatisfactory. Decisions of the OSPA committee shall be final.
The First-Prize winner will be awarded a certificate and a prize of HK$5,000. The Second-Prize will be awarded a certificate of merit and a prize of HK$3,000. The Third-Prize will be awarded a certificate of merit and a prize of HK$2,000. These three papers will also be considered for publication in the HKSTS journals.
